    Security considerations

The Automata system provides comprehensive management of all electrical components, including lighting, air conditioning, and other electrical appliances within the facility. Users can operate the system remotely from any location and at any time using an Android or iOS app, SMS messages, or desktop management software, which also facilitates centralized monitoring from a control room.

Automata is committed to dependability, evidenced by its certification from the Israeli Standards Institute. The system is designed for user-friendliness, featuring a straightforward and intuitive interface, focusing on a seamless user experience. Maintenance and servicing are made simple; the system uses standard components available at any electrical store, allowing any electrician to perform upkeep without the need for specialized training.

Automata's versatile installation base includes museums, cinemas, upscale restaurants, private residences, schools, and various other buildings.

    Security

The Automata system is equipped with multiple layers of security, ensuring airtight defense of the system, comprehensive safeguards against unauthorized access, data breaches, or misuse.

First level - the architecture level

The Automata system operates with a primary Central Controller Unit (CCU) at its core. This main controller orchestrates the overall system, governs the controllers, and manages the interconnected components.
The system operates independently, without any connection to cloud services or external data repositories. It is designed to retain information only when specified by the system administrator. The system's physical presence is confined within the building, accessible solely with the security manager's consent. The main controller is equipped with dual internal network cards, ensuring a firm hardware division between the external (Internet) and internal networks.

    Second level - secure communication
    • Secure communication is guaranteed for all users interacting with the system.
    • The system administrator assigns individual passwords to each user. To establish a  connection, users are required to input their unique passwords.
    • Customizable user interfaces can be created for each system user, allowing for the restriction of access to unauthorized resources.
    • The system’s internal communications are conducted through wired connections using a private TCP/IP protocol, ensuring no external access.
    • Data exchange between the system’s main controller and the user’s computer or phone application is protected and encrypted for security.
Third level - The system's update protocol  - hardware level

The Automata system features specialized hardware that prevents unauthorized modifications. To update the system—be it password changes, user additions, hardware alterations, or other adjustments—the following procedure must be adhered to:

Initially, a person with authorization needs to use the system’s exclusive software to establish a connection. This individual must enter a distinct password, execute the necessary modifications, and then transfer these updates to the central control unit.

For the updates to take effect, the system administrator must manually interact with the central control unit, activating a specific set of switches located on the unit itself. Without this manual intervention, the system will not apply any of the updates.

Securing the central control unit in a protected location guarantees that unauthorized individuals cannot alter the system, as they lack physical access to the unit.

Being a product designed and produced in Israel, Automata has the flexibility to be customized and enhanced with additional features to meet the specific needs of clients.
